The performers and the audience are equal partners in the show throughout the evening.
Dueling pianos combines musical ability with comedy and cheerleading skills. The performer influences the audience to sing a long at strategic points in a song giving them the opportunity to participate with the show.
The players also perform musical comedy bits for people celebrating special occasions such as birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, divorces, or anything else people come up with. The players call the special individual up to the pianos and performs the bit in their honor.
There are also special group dances that are performed as well such as the Chicken Dance, Joy to the World, the Unicorn Dance, Y.M.C.A., and many others that gets the audience out of their chairs and having a great time.
